Starting a Schumacher Rascal RC truck! Posted by: wonderfulcat
Video duration: 159 seconds This is a bit of a follow up from the previous movie; "Starting RC cars:Ofna LX Pro V Schumacher Rascal". I've added a roto start and fiddled with the carb. It's still not easy but it does start without me getting an arm strain. I should have added a dash of fuel into the carb! Related: buggy, control, nitro, radio, truggy |

Honda Ricky Carmichael Radio Shack RC nitro project part 3 Posted by: wonderfulcat
Video duration: 114 seconds Well I'm up against my first major problem. How to get the cog on the clutch bell to mesh with a cog on the drive shaft. Should I replace the drive shaft cog or the clutch bell? I went to Sto Models in Chingfrod today and the chap there recommended putting a Shumacher Rascal clutch on my VX 18 engine. So that's probably the path I'm going down. Now I need to raise some money! Related: bike, buggy, car, control, glowplug, motorbike, motorcycle, rc, radio, truck |

How to fit an onboard camera to your RC car (Buggycam)! Posted by: wonderfulcat
Video duration: 181 seconds First buy a cheap rc buggy, then a cheap wireless camera and receiver off ebay. Then buy a usb TV box and plug it into your laptop. Connect receiver to tv box. Tape camera to car. Switch everything on and drive! My other camera has packed up and I can't see anything through the viewfinder or screen. That's why the filming is so bad. Video duration: 99 seconds Well, I've managed to take the bodywork off (ha-ha). I'm just rambling away about motors and batteries here. Thunder Tiger RC Bike Brushless Project Part 3 Posted by: wonderfulcat
Video duration: 58 seconds OK. I've now pulled the side of the bike off and got to the T19 (19 turn) Team Orion motor and Hawk ESC (electronic speed control). The new brushless motor is a bit smaller than the T19 that it is replacing, but it has a plate on it so that it fits the same screw holes on the mounting point. The Hawk ESC is quite a bit smaller than the brushless Mtroniks Ride ESC and there are a lot more wires! Related: control, motorbike, motorcycle, rc, rabbit, radio, t19 |

Pimp my ride (side car) Posted by: wonderfulcat
Video duration: 129 seconds Well having gone to all the trouble of putting it together, I've now enlisted my long suffering brother inlaw to respray the tub in a green that matches the bike! So at the start of this movie we are on our way into Swindon to pick up the paint, then over to the historic town of Avebury (or just outside it) to get it resprayed. Finally I take it for a photo session in Avebury itself! Related: bike, motorbike, motorcycle, sidecar, standing, stones |
